Lime agglomeration
EURAGGLO offers a briquetting, compaction and granulation process based on the technology of roller compactors. This process allows the agglomeration of various dolomitic or high-calcium quicklime coming from e.g, screening at the end of the production furnace. The briquettes produced can be used in steel mills as lump lime. The same raw material can be compacted/ granulated for agricultural or environmental use.
Process
The process consists in briquetting dolomitic or high-calcium quicklime with high pressure after addition of a solid lubricant. The raw material to be briquetted can have various size ranges from 0-1 mm to 0-5 mm. The briquettes from a roller press generally have a volume smaller than 20 cc and a density close from 2 to 2,2 g/cc.
