Process

The process consists in homogeneizing various mineral raw materials (crushed beforehand if need be) like urea, AS, TSP, natural phosphate, MAP, KCl, micro additives… before compacting them in a roller press to form flakes which will then be crushed and sieved to obtain the final required size-range (for example 2-4 mm, 2-6 mm).

The formed granules can undergo a post-treatment like polishing, coating or hardening to improve their mechanical characteristics and reduce their tendency to caking. Alternately, the press can produce briquettes of fertilizers with the same formulae. These doses can weigh between 5 and 20 grams or more. The formulations can be adapted in terms of release control and additives to facilitate the granulation and the long-term storage.
