RMP Expands Into Textile and Plastic Recycling
RMP is starting a new chapter - alongside our existing activities, we are now focusing on textile and plastic waste recycling. These two areas are gaining increasing attention across Europe due to their environmental impact and the opportunities they offer for a more circular economy.
Textile and plastic waste are both subject to significant developments in European legislation, such as the Green Deal, Ecodesign Regulation, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) rules. We will explore these in more detail in future posts to help our audience better understand what they mean for businesses, policymakers, and communities in Latvia and the Baltic region, and beyond.
Recently, we visited the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels, Belgium and PRSE Amsterdam in the Netherlands to deepen our understanding of the industry and explore technologies that could be relevant for our market. At both events, we also attended seminars to hear directly from industry leaders and policymakers, considering how their insights could be applied locally.
In the coming months, we will share more about the challenges, innovations, and opportunities in textile and plastic recycling - both globally and here in our region, so stay tuned!
